We are recruiting talented students to join our team for the summer (and perhaps longer). From writing about your experience and creating content to hosting events and handling client relations, we've got a spot for you!

Hours: 3-10 hours / week depending on load and your availability

Who are we?
At Uni-Chat, we make sure university is the best time in every student's life. If you graduate without a legendary story to tell, then we've failed.
What started with 2 mates at Edinburgh uni, has grown to a recognisable brand currently in 3 universities and thousands of users. We plan to keep expanding, and become the go-to platform for all things student in the UK.

Position 1: Writers and Editors
Join the team behind our blog and help shape the voice of the platform.
You’ll have full creative freedom to write about what actually interests you. Whether that’s your university experience, interviewing interesting people, or sharing advice with the next generation of students, this is your space to explore and create.
This role gives you real, hands-on publishing experience, from ideation to final piece. You’ll be working closely with our Chief Editor, Abby, who will support you throughout while giving you the freedom to develop your own style.
We typically expect around 2 to 3 pieces per month, but we stay flexible and work around your schedule.
Beyond writing, you’ll also have a say in how the blog evolves and how the wider platform grows. Your ideas won’t just be heard - they’ll shape what we build.
Position 2: Content Creators
Help bring Uni-Chat to life across social media.
You’ll be creating content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, from posts to reels and short-form videos that actually resonate with students. This is your chance to experiment, be creative, and build content you’re genuinely proud of.
We also work closely with partner brands to help them reach student audiences, so you may get involved in real marketing campaigns focused on student customer acquisition.
Beyond creating, you’ll help shape how we market Uni-Chat as a whole. That means planning ideas, testing strategies, and building content around real student life, not guesswork.
Most importantly, you’ll have a direct impact on building a student brand we’re aiming to make recognised across the UK.
